3 Sensory Postcards
This idea of digital ethnography seems to put into practice this theory discussed in class into our practice as communicators. I really enjoyed the unique perspective this design project specifically had, as it represents my thoughts and ideas of ethnography as a process of continuous innovation. I believe that these three videos are able to engage the viewers senses in such a way that puts their mindset into the scene, more so than a photo of a street could do. But, by adding the sound the viewer is able to feel the energy of the space. There is no way to give the viewer a direct experience, but this is why I find digital ethnography focused on the sensory to be so interesting, because it allows the viewer to draw their own conclusions from the sights and sounds given.
