The Beautiful Social Research Collaborative (commonly referred to as B:Social) is an organization based at Saint Joseph’s University that works with nonprofit and community organizations making positive social change in the Philadelphia area and beyond. Comprised of students and faculty in the Department of Communications, B:Social works with clients in order to develop content that complements their digital communication and storytelling goals. There is no other organization that functions in the way Beautiful Social does in the country.
I am a Foley Fellow for the program, where I function in ways similar to a teaching assistant: I act as the liaison between the client and the student team and help the team succeed in their projects.
Fall 2016: Student Consultant for the Texas Council of Child Welfare Boards
Spring 2017: Foley Fellow for Fair Food Philly
During the Spring 2017 semester I managed a group of students working with the client, Fair Food Philly. My group was tasked with creating a video from the 2017 Philly Farm and Food Fest to be used for future advertisements for this event, as well as a vlog of the teams progress.
